Beechwood Cemetery’s Annual Historical Walking Tour this Sunday, June 8th

Costumed actors bring historical figures to life during the tour.
Save the date! It's Beechwood Cemetery's Annual Historical Walking Tour this Sunday.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of its outbreak, the theme for this year’s tour is the First World War. The tour includes five stops at the gravesites of men and women who fought in the trenches in Europe, cared for the injured or guided the country through the difficult war years. The tour will include war-time Prime Minister Sir Robert Borden, nurse Minnie Gallagher and Lt Alexis Helmer, whose death inspired John McRae’s famous poem, ‘In Flanders Fields.’ Costumed actors will bring these historical figures to life.

Don’t miss this stroll through beautiful and historic Beechwood, the National Cemetery of Canada.
